Unsound Festival reveals first wave line-up for 2024 including Kode9, Actress, and more

Unsound Festival has revealed the first wave of artists set to perform at this year’s festival.
The next edition of Unsound takes place from September 29 - October 6 2024 in Kraków, Poland, across multiple venues in the city. This year’s theme is ‘NOISE’.
The first wave of artists announced include ML Buch, DJ Anderson Do Paraíso, Crystallmess, TAYHANA, and a 20 years of Hyperdub special from Kode9.

A handful of back-to-backs and collaborative projects will also take place across the week from the likes of Actress B2B Skee Mask, Surusinghe B2B TSVI, upsammy & Valentina Magaletti, and Aïsha Devi & Slikback alongside some special guests.
The festival kicks off on September 29 with a film program and other events before heading into the full music and art programme spanning noise rock, jazz, experimental, ambient, and more.
This year’s edition will also see the return of Unsound Movie Marathon curated by Polish art historian Natalia Sielewicz and Ukrainian curator and researcher Daša Anosova.

Talks and panels this year will host the likes of artist and researcher Eryk Salvaggio, who's set to review the “cacophony of AI-generated noise”, and discussions around tinnitus with journalist Seb Wheeler and Cyryl Rozwadowski.
Elsewhere on the bill this year is emerging Egyptian musician 1127, who was selected to play through the Unsound Open Call submissions. More artists set to perform in this programme will be announced over the coming months.
