fabric to celebrate two decades of Ricardo Villalobos with 24-hour party

Taking place on February 11, 2023

fabric is celebrating its long-standing 20-year relationship with Germany’s Ricardo Villalobos in a 24-hour party next February.

Set to take place on February 11, 2023, the marathon event is part of fabric’s rebooted Continuum party series taking over entire weekends at the London club.

Also joining Villalobos on the line-up is Sonja Moonear, Praslea, O.BEE & Tomas Station, and Maher Daniel, with more to be announced in the coming months.

“In February 2023, we're presenting a special weekender celebrating 20 Years of long-standing resident, friend and core member of the fabric family, Ricardo Villalobos,” fabric announced on Instagram last Wednesday.

“In November 2002, we booked Ricardo for the first time. Craig Richards was a weekly resident and invited Ricardo to play a night,” the club posted.

“He played for 2.5 hours – the one and only time he played what we might deem a ‘short’ set. We didn’t quite know what to expect when he first turned up to play. And perhaps that’s still true today. A Ricardo set at the club, even 20 years on, will always surprise us.”

Starting at 11:PM on Saturday and running through to midnight on Sunday, the special Continuum show promises to be an “all-encompassing celebration of Villalobos” and his “revered, nonconformist DJing style”.

“[Villalobos] has educated us through original music selection, entertained us with personality and technique and, from our giving him the space to play marathon sets coupled with us never wanting to stop the party, is what first inspired our 24+ hour ‘On and On…' parties in the mid 2000s,” fabric added.

fabric’s Continuum series relaunched in November 2021 with inspiration from the club’s 24-hour + events in the early ‘00s. The first to go ahead took place over the course of three days with a techno-focused line-up.
