Tierra Whack arrested after bringing loaded gun to Philadelphia Airport

Whack has been charged for disorderly conduct after her arrest on Tuesday

Tierra Whack was arrested on Tuesday (November 8) after carrying a loaded handgun through security at Philadelphia International Airport and has reportedly been charged with disorderly conduct.

According to Philadelphia’s ABC, Whack has a license to carry a firearm in the state of Pennsylvania with Complex reporting that court documents show that she will have her preliminary hearing on December 8.

"On Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at 11:56 A.M., at Philadelphia International Airport, Terminal C security [the] checkpoint incident occurred," a spokesperson from the Philadelphia Police Department told XXL.

The statement continues: "A 27-year-old black female placed a purse into the X-ray machine for screening. During the screening a firearm was determined to be in the purse. Philadelphia Police were notified.

"Recovered from the purse was a semi-automatic firearm, loaded with (6) live rounds in the magazine and none in the chamber. The defendant does have valid permit to carry in Pennsylvania. The checkpoint was shutdown while the investigation was conducted.

"The defendant was issued CVN for disorderly conduct and weapon was confiscated by police."

Whack has since been released from police custody but not spoken out about the incident, Tweeting yesterday: “we giving out love and opportunity!”

Born in Philadelphia, the artist took to social media last year alluding her exit out of the music industry with the statement: “I quit. I’m done doing music.”

She also posted on Twitter at the time: “I ain’t finna ruin nobody else day just cause I’m having a bad one!”

Since this she has released multiple EP’s and an instrumental version of her acclaimed 2018 debut album ‘Whack World’.
