The xx share another snippet of new material
Another hint at the release of their new album
The xx have shared another new piece of mysterious music that is speculated to be part of their forthcoming album.
Following last week’s reveal of a short, 55-second snippet that surfaced on the band’s Spotify playlist that was labeled as music they listen to in the studio, a new piece is now available. While the previous track has been taken down, the new offering has the same title, artist and album name, ‘-’.
While listeners could make out what seemed to be Romy’s voice on the first upload, the second track features a male voice, possibly that of band member Oliver Sim.
No official release date has been given for the forthcoming album, the first from The xx since 2012’s ‘Coexist’, and it’s still too early to tell whether or not these tracks will be included.
