Roland release "80s style" synth that mixes retro sounds with new tech

The Juno-X “goes wherever your music lives—past, present, or future”

Roland have released the ‘80s styled Juno-X which in contrast incorporates the latest music-making features.

With a vintage design it fits within Roland’s new range of analogue polysynths however, by using a ZEN-Core engine, Juno is digitally powered with a vocoder KV-5080 presets and more.

The synth has an interface with classic sounds along with a “natural evolution of the historic Juno voice.”

This new model has “fatter sounds” due to an improved version of the SuperSaw waveform as well as a new Chorus III mode.

It’s mixture of capabilities is described to take you “wherever your music lives—past, present, or future”
