The Prototypes list their favourite drum 'n' bass tracks
All guaranteed to get a reload
As UKF and Desperados continue their search for the ultimate bass drop, they’ve enlisted heavyweights of the scene to discuss the tracks in their genres that get the best reaction.
UK drum 'n' bass titans The Prototypes have been making people weak at the knees with their own fearsome productions but took the time to pay tribute to the tunes that had the biggest impact on them.
Their top four tunes hark back to a time in drum 'n' bass when the breaks were dirty and the bass brutal, with 1997’s ‘Warhead’ by DJ Krust, 2001’s ‘Up All Night’ by John B, the Ram Trilogy remix of Ed Rush and Optical’s ‘Pacman’ and The Vault by Pendulum.
Desperados and UKF have found their winner to fly into zero-gravity at 23,000 feet in a plane with a dazzling lightshow, top quality DJ and world-class soundsystem, now it’s just about finding the right drop.
