The Prodigy’s Keith Flint responds to fox hunting rumours

Hacktivist group Anonymous has also issued a warning to The Prodigy frontman

Following reports in The Daily Mail on Friday that Keith Flint had taken up fox hunting, The Prodigy frontman has admitted to riding out on a trail hunt, but asserted that no animals were harmed and that he will not partake in the banned sport again.

A source speaking to the newspaper stated that Flint "keeps his horses with one of the bigwigs on the local Essex hunt, who lives just up the road from the pub [that Flint owns]. His enthusiasm for the sport is the talk of Essex hunting circles."

The story sparked an outcry, with many fans viewing the activity as at odds with The Prodigy's anti-establishment message.

Hacktivist group Anonymous issued a warning to Flint for "rubbing shoulders with Tory criminals whilst out fox hunting" in a video uploaded online.

A Guy Fawkes-mask wearing member announces "it has come to our attention that Keith has a fetish for murdering animals," before displaying an image of a deer that had been shot with an arrow and stating "Keith killed a deer, and now Anonymous will politically kill Keith. Sit tight Keith it's going to be a bumpy ride."

Now Flint has responded to the allegation in a Facebook status on the group's page, writing: "In regards to a story going around about me right now - yes I live in Essex and have a couple of horses. I went riding with the local trail hunt, it was a ride out and NO ANIMALS WERE HUNTED OR KILLED."

"My conscience is clear, it wasn't my thing and I won't be going again."
