Liam Howlett confirms he doesn't want The Prodigy to do another album

Bad news for The Prodigy fans: it seems as though recent album 'The Day Is My Enemy' is their last.

Liam Howlett sat down with Rolling Stone to discuss a few topics - including what he thinks of EDM - and revealed that the band aren't too keen on any more LPs, a confirmation of what he said a few months ago. But no fear, more music is coming.

He said: "Basically I don't feel like I want to do any more albums because they just take too long. It takes too long to get the music out to fans, it takes too long for us. We want to do something that can turn around quicker. So what we've decided to do is to do EPs from now on."

There's no news on when that's going to be out, but what you can expect is a four-tracker, with "the next one prepared" once that's released.

We've known for a while what Howlett thinks of other dance music artists, saying 'TDIME' will "wipe the floor" with them, and now he's laid into the EDM genre as a whole.

"The whole EDM and electronic music scene is very commercial. It's pop music, and to me, there has to be a band that can represent the harder edge end of electronic music, and that's always been our job.

"The record I guess is a reaction to that, just the monotony of EDM, and the laziness of the music."

He did say that DJ Snake and Lil Jon's 'Turn Down For What' is a "great tune", though. Wonder what The Prodigy diehards will think of that.
