The Knocks in The Lab NYC
New York's own brought the funk to The Lab NYC on April 1st
The Lab New York is Mixmag and Smirnoff Sound Collective's weekly afterwork party where we stream the best American and international DJs from the intimate space connected to our Brooklyn office. Last Friday, we gave a big homecoming welcome to The Knocks.
The Knocks came together after Ben "B-Roc" Ruttner and James "JPatt" Patterson met as students at New School in New York and became fast friends and soon, a rising duo finding the delicate balance between the hip-hop and electronic realms. After remixing Jay-Z's entire 'American Gangster' album and delivering massive remixes of pop familiars, The Knocks soon became a noted name and even requested producers for the likes of Ellie Goulding and Icona Pop.
Now, just a few weeks out from their recently released '55' album that features an impressive and eclectic range of collaborators like Fetty Wap, Walk the Moon, Carly Rae Jepsen, Cam'ron and more, The Knocks land in The Lab NYC this Friday.
The Lab NYC is strongly powered by Void Acoustics*. Watch The Knocks in The Lab NYC below or via* MixmagTV on Saturday morning
