The greatest show on earth: 20 Glastonbury photos that will give you the feels

A look through the years at the wildest festival on the planet

Are you ready?

It's not long now until we head back to the field of dreams to experience Glastonbury Festival, arguably the greatest musical event on the planet.

It's wild, it's weird and it's damn right wonderful and we're going to be there in force, covering the best sets from across the weekend and bringing you everything you need to know about the party in Pilton.

Over the years, there have been some pretty epic landmarks. From the first edition back in 1970 where tickets were just £1, to present day, where over 180,000 people will descend upon Worthy Farm to see acts like Radiohead, Justice and Lorde.

We've gone through the Glasto archive to uncover the best photos from the festival over the years and it's amazing to see just how far its come.

There's also been mud. A lot of fucking mud. Prepare yourselves. It's nearly time again.
