The Cause to launch new radio station-focused festival in London

Each stage at the day festival will celebrate independent stations around the world, including South Korea's Seoul Community Radio and Indonesia's Headstream

The Cause have announced the launch of a new concept festival at their flagship East London venue, set to take place for the first time in July.

The Cause FM: New Frequency will celebrate independent radio stations around the world, as well as "community-led broadcasters and underground music cultures".

The new day festival will kick off on Saturday, July 25, for one day only, taking over multiple stages both indoors and outdoors at the Docklands venue.

Initial stations set to feature at New Frequency include Germany’s Refuge Worldwide, South Korea’s Seoul Community Radio, Indonesia’s Headstream, and from the UK, Keep Hush and Voices Radio.

In a post shared on Instagram earlier today (June 16), The Cause said that attendees can expect a mix of "community champions, breakthrough artists and one-off collaborations that reflect the global spirit of independent broadcasting".

New Frequency's line-up will remain "largely under wraps for now", they confirmed, though further details will be revealed soon alongside the festival’s broadcast schedule.
