The Blessed Madonna to make smartbar return as a 2024 guest resident

The former resident and talent booker for the Chicago nightspot will return "very soon"

Beloved Chicago nightclub smartbar has announced it will "welcome home" The Blessed Madonna as a guest resident in 2024.

The DJ and former resident at the venue shared her excitement on Twitter, writing: “I will kiss the floorboards in front of the Left Front Speaker very soon."

The announcement to Instagram yesterday shared a photo of the DJ with the caption: “We are so excited to welcome the Blessed Madonna back home." Fellow guest residents revealed for 2024 include DJ Seinfield, Eris Drew and Ron Trent.

The Blessed Madonna was a longtime resident of the Chicago venue, eventually becoming the first female talent booker for the venue. smartbar has long celebrated a pro-LGBTQ+ policy, welcoming an inclusive programme of celebrated house DJs.

“Reshaping the resident’s program in my tenure as talent buyer at Smartbar is a source of pride for me…Smartbar continues to exceed my dreams and let me come home,” wrote The Blessed Madonna via Twitter.

The Blessed Madonna released her first single of the year, ‘Happier’ February 2, featuring Clementine Douglas.
