The Black Madonna and Ben UFO locked in for Optimo 20

The Scottish duo celebrate 20 years in the game

Optimo are turning 20 this year and are in the mood to celebrate. The Scottish duo, made up of Twitch and Jonnie Wilkes, kicked off their famous Sunday night party at Glasgow's Sub Club, allegedly the world's longest running club space, in 1997.

Two decades later the event is still going strong. To celebrate this milestone the duo are hosting a one-day festival in a never before used space at Glasgow nightclub SWG3. This will be the first event to take over the Glavanizer's Yard space next to the warehouse venue. Over three stages, Optimo have curated a lineup that celebrates the music they have championed over the last two decades.

As well as appearances from The Black Madonna and Ben UFO, the one-day event will feature sets from Midland, The Bug ft. Miss Red, Avalon Emerson and, of course, Optimo (Espacio). There will be live sets from Aurora Halal, Carla dal Forno and Happy Meals among many others.

The event will run from 2pm until 11pm and a portion of the profits will be donated to Glasgow's Coalition For Racial Equality & Rights and to various Glasgow food banks. Buy tickets to the event here.
