Tessela and Truss join forces as Overmono
A brotherly bond for XL Recordings
Truss and Tessela will be releasing a collaborative project under the alias Overmono. The Russell brothers have played a handful of live shows in the past and released a track together four years ago, but have now been putting in some serious studio time for their upcoming EP, 'Arla'.
The project's conception came during an excursion to a secluded cottage in Wales, near the pair's childhood home.
Overmono recalls: "The trip ended up being the most creative stint either of us had ever had and after a week we had the foundations".
The five-track compilation will be released on July 29 on XL Recordings. Hear the preview track, 'Lockner Union' below.
