Sweat It Out Showcase in The Lab SYD: Yolanda Be Cool & Go Freek

Double header from the long-running Sydney label

This week in The Lab SYD, we join the race to find Mixmag's Label Of The Decade, by showcasing the sounds of the Sydney record label Sweat It Out and key members Yolanda Be Cool and Go Freek.

Sweat It Out was founded in 2008 by Dance Legend, AJAX (RIP).

The label is home to some of Australia's leading electronic exports such as RÜFÜS, What So Not, Motez and Anna Lunoe, alongside a wave of hotly emerging talent included Polographia, Crooked Colours, Winston Surfshirt and Enschway.

As an internationally focussed label, Sweat It Out throws regular parties across Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Fiji, Miami, LA, New York, Amsterdam and Ibiza and they have their own imprint label, ‘Club Sweat’ which focuses more on the house and techno sounds.

Yolanda Be Cool co-own/A&R for the long-running label and are widely known for their smash hit singles 'From Me To You', 'Sugar Man' and of course, 'We Speak No Americano'. Go Freek are part of the nu breed of artists coming through the Sweat ranks, with the 'Devine' collaboration EP with Dom Dolla, their standout release to date.
