Stormzy is heading to Oxford University
He'll be talking and performing at The Oxford Guild
'Know Me From' MC Stormzy is talking at Oxford University tonight (March 7).
Apparently over 1,200 students have applied for a spot at The Oxford Guild, the UK’s largest and oldest professional society, where the south Londoner will also be performing.
On being invited, Stormzy said: "In school, all my teachers and my mum were super routing for me to study at Oxford. I picked music as a career choice and this didn't sit to well with them.
"So to be asked to come down and speak to the students there is a true tale of destiny giving you the right cards."
Oxford Guild chairman Abbas Kazmi is equally excited: "We are delighted to be welcoming to the Oxford Guild such an exciting and high-profile speaker as the one and only Stormzy and expect it to be a fascinating and memorable event and are thrilled that he will be doing an exclusive performance for those attending."
The MOBO award winner, who's also announced a US and Canada tour for this month, joins Kanye West, Nina Kraviz and Martin Garrix as those to speak at the Guild.
For those who can't attend, it'll be streaming on Oxford Guild's Periscope channel (@TheOxfordGuild) from 8pm.
