Spotify database hacked, users' credentials and information leaked

Customers are distressed after emails and locations are shared online

A list of Spotify user credentials including emails, logins, passwords, account details and even locations has been leaked via Pastebin.

The situation becomes complicated with a large number of users filing complaints and addressing their account hacks, while Spotify has officially stated that there has been no hack and that their records are secure. Although the list of information doesn't seem to be completely up-to-date, the number of users reporting being hacked is still concerning.

Most users who fell victim to the breach encountered non-facilitated account and login credential changes, as well as additional hacks in other social platforms and accounts as most people re-use passwords. The investigation on the security violation is ongoing.
