In parallel with the sound of the genre, techno’s release schedule is fast, furious and at times overwhelming. Keeping track of the slew of bangers hitting shelves each week can be a challenge for even the hardiest of diggers.
To help keep you up to speed with all sounds dark, pounding and disorientating, we’re launching a new Best New Techno playlist on Spotify, which will be updated every Tuesday with our selection of the finest new techno releases dropping each week.
Like our themed Mind-Bending Techno playlist, it will be packed full of skittering percussive lines, dizzying rhythms, depth-charged bass layers and off-kilter melodies, while also taking in the more trippy, ambient and electro-tinged ends of the spectrum.
The second instalment sees new arrivals spanning EOD's warped mechanics, cuts from retrospective Dubfire and Kevin Saunderson records, dark power from Pessimist, and more.
