Special Request has remixed classic rave track ‘Chime’ by Orbital.
The remix was made for Amazon's new rave documentary, Better Days: The Story Of UK Rave.
Orbital’s ‘Chime Re-Record (Special Request Remix)’ is a fresh take on the electronic duo’s 1989 single by the Leeds-based producer Special Request, real name Paul Woolford. The newly revamped track still plays to the duo’s hit song, leaving all the nostalgic elements in the mix.

“So lovely to hear ‘Chime’ with fresh ears presented by the fantastic Paul Woodford aka Special Request. One of our crown jewels in safe hands! Big thank you to Amazon Music for making this happen,” said Orbital’s Paul Hartnoll on the track.
The single has dropped following the release of Amazon Music’s latest documentary covering 90s rave culture and the formation of free parties across the UK, Better Days: The Story Of UK Rave. In the doc, Paul Hartnoll is interviewed about his involvement with the underground rave scene some 30 years ago.

Better Days also takes a peek into the more contemporary artists, including interviews with SHERELLE, Prospa, Denis Sulta and TSHA. Sweeping across a whole generation of UK dance music, the documentary covers everything from illegal London raves to the evolution of audio equipment.

Overmono curated an original score for the 30-minute documentary which was directed by Hugo Jenkins. The soundtrack also adds Dance System’s ‘Better Days’ featuring Rush Davis, which was created specifically for the film to go alongside Special Request’s remix.
