Sony has released a teaser video for the new Trainspotting film
Danny Boyle's movie will hit cinemas in January 2017
It's been 20 years since we were introduced to Trainspotting's Renton, Sick Boy, Begbie and co. and we'll soon be seeing them again in the sequel.
We've been talking about it for a while and now a trailer has arrived, although we don't actually get any insight into what the forthcoming film will look like. Instead, Sony Pictures has just compiled 45 seconds of classic footage from the original, from Renton climbing out of a toilet to him realising he's bedded a schoolgirl.
It looks like it'll be called T2, with filming starting today (May 16) and it being released on January 27 next year.
The script for this one is based on Irvine Welsh's Porno book, with the original cast becoming immersed in the vice industry, according to the author.
Here's our round-up of the best Trainspotting scenes and you can check out the trailer for T2 below.
