Roberto - 9/10

It's not the first time Roberto has bagged Tune Of The Month on this page, though it is a first for his label, Fossil Archive. Over the past year or so we've been watching the label maintain a consistently high level. 'Tiziani' is a great example of the way a simple idea can entrap you in its uncomplicated rhythm. Pads expand and contract as a snub-nosed kick pumps away, all the percussive elements remain relatively subtle, never harsh or too in-your-face. Sometimes all you need is a few strong components to make a track really pop and this is a perfect case in point.
