New London music festival Risen will celebrate the “divine feminine”

The Hackney Wick festival will feature a completely non-male line-up

New multi-venue festival Risen is coming to Hackney Wick this spring.

The festival is set to celebrate the “divine feminine,” and will see a variety of non-male acts perform at a variety of venues on April 9.

Organised by a team of women from promoter Percolate, Risen is the first of its kind and aims to represent non-male individuals in the music industry — including areas such as sound engineering, lighting, and venue operations.

Today, the festival revealed their completely non-male line-up in alphabetical order. The line-up includes, Angel D'lite, Girls Don't Sync, Hannah Holland, Heléna Star, Tash LC and many more.

“Having worked for many years to help balance gender inequality across the electronic music world, I’ve always dreamt of putting together a festival that focuses fully on this,” says Senior Booker and Events Manager Kitty Bartlett.
