Rinse FM announce ‘I LOVE:’ series, celebrating Britain’s music culture
The series will include shows, compilations and documentaries
Rinse FM have announced their new project, ‘I LOVE:’, celebrating British music culture with a series of events, compilations and documentaries.
The series begins with ‘I LOVE: FUNKY’, taking place on Saturday, October 9 at Ministry of Sound.

Funky, a mix of a number of different genres and sounds will be celebrated with four rooms of music at the Ministry of Sound, with The Box featuring Crazy Cousinz, Versatile, Circle, Geeneus, as well as Katy B with her first live funky performance in over a decade.
While Apple, DJ Naughty, Funkysteps, MA1, Fingaprint and Perempay will take over in Room Two, Room Three will see Baby Box, DJ Polo, Juls, Scratch DVA and AYAYA and The Loft will see CoOp take over, with IG Culture, Phountzi, Cengiz and EVM128 coming through with DJ sets.
Alongside the event, a documentary looking into the history of Funky and a compilation titled ‘I LOVE: FUNKY Classics’ will be available.

Speaking about the project, Geeneus, the founder of Rinse FM, said:
“After 20 odd years of nurturing and developing underground music genres, it feels like a good time to reflect on them and celebrate all the U.K. underground has achieved. The ILOVE series is a very special and personal project to me, as I have spent my life watching the sound of the underground evolve and I will continue to keep on delivering amazing music that I love.”
