Rat & Co are post-apocalyptic 'Soldiers' on new track

Stream the latest from the Australian ambient outfit ahead of their LP's release

Melbourne three-piece Rat & Co have released their second single from upcoming LP 'Third Law,' out in two months.

'Soldiers' draws on haunting vocals from fellow Aussie artist Liahona which cut through arpeggiated synths, groaning pads and drums to paint an ambient soundscape of a dystopian future.

Speaking of the track, the group said: “Soldiers is a story of a hopeless war near the end of human civilization. A war to end all wars, and everything else surrounding it. Mindless soldiers spread across the land fighting to just stay alive for a cause that nobody knows. They are broken and nothing can fix them."

It follows the similarly-themed 'A.I.,' released in August last year. Rat & Co's third LP, 'Third Law' is out on August 25. Enter the dark world of 'Soldiers' below.
