Quantic launches residency at Brooklyn’s Good Room with guest Dâm Funk
The funk takes over NYC this weekend
Brooklyn nightclub Good Room will be launching Quantic’s residency this weekend, ushering in a series of events that promise to showcase his unique output of future sounds & past obscurities.
With 16 albums to his name, Quantic, aka Will Holland, is known for his intricate musical arrangements that blur genre boundaries and showcase his talents as a multi-instrumentalist. Not to be overlooked in the DJ booth either, his eclectic selection prompts avid listeners to dig for IDs throughout his performances.
To kick off his Good Room residency on February 19, Quantic will be joined by Photay and special guest Dâm Funk.
As a record digger of the highest caliber, when Dâm Funk gets behind a pair of decks he shares a collection of rare gems not heard anywhere else. He simply lets the funk and soul take over, a quality admired by many in the scene. Of course he’s a talented musician and producer, but when he plays a DJ set it’s best to pay close attention and absorb some the the knowledge he shares.
To round out the evening, local heroes Justin Strauss and Billy Caldwell will be throwing their Love Tempo party in the Bad Room.
