Punter gets club stamp tattoo and earns free entry for life
"It was a unique request..."
A student at Edge Hill university got a tattoo of a nightclub’s stamp on her wrist and apparently will now get free entry for life.
The student had lost a bet, but she was also told she would get free entry to the club if she got the tattoo. It cost her £35 to get the tattoo of a black tree and the word “alpine”, which is the name of the nightclub, in the center of a black circle.
Tattoo artist Abigail France of Studio Odyssey in Ormskirk said she was surprised by the booking and did not expect the client to show up. Staff at the shop also tried to talk the client out of getting the tattoo, but she was adamant about getting it done.
France spoke with the Southport Visiter about what took place: “She couldn’t remember what the bet was. We called up Alpine to check it was the right logo, and that she’d get in - they were aware she was getting it. And apparently she did get in - and they let her jump the queue. She was very happy about getting it, and happy with how it looked. Usually if tattoos are too weird, we just say no. It was a unique request - but to each their own, at the end of the day.”
This isn’t the first time someone got free guestlist because of a tattoo. Last year a man got Jackmaster’s logo tattooed on his bicep and received free entry to a club night.
