Proposed five-story nightclub in NYC could take over former Pacha venue
A mega-club in the heart of Manhattan
Plans have been submitted to develop a five story nightclub in NYC called FREQ.
Lead by the co-owner of Space Ibiza in NYC, Antonio Piacquadio, the proposed venue is set to revamp the former location of Pacha at 618 W. 46th Street in Hell's Kitchen. Space Ibiza’s NYC branch will be closing this month, but the new project could fill the club void in Manhattan.
According to RA, plans for FREQ were submitted at the end of April, which outlines a five-floor, 2,665 capacity venue complete with food and a 4AM liquor license. The State Liquor Authority, Department of Buildings and other city and state departments still need to approve Piacquadio’s application.
Although this might be exciting news for the NYC club scene, it’s important to note that Piacquadio has been involved in two short-lived clubs, Sankey’s Brooklyn and OPEN, both of which were located at the space now called Analog BKNY.
Look for an update on FREQ to surface in the coming months.
