Prince's catalogue is widely available on streaming platforms for the first time
The digital releases include the new ‘Prince Anthology: 1995-2010’ and a video for ‘Black Sweat’
Since his passing in 2016, The Prince Estate have agreed to various re-releases of the musicians extensive and sought after works. Today, as a result of an exclusive agreement between Sony Music Entertainment and The Prince Estate, 23 hard-to-find titles, as well as ‘Prince Anthology: 1995-2010’, have been released digitally.
They are widely available across streaming services and will add over 300 essential songs to his online catalogue.
The period of 1995-2010 is considered a meaningful one in Prince’s career due to a lack of major label demands and his various distribution strategies which included NPG Music Club.
‘Prince Anthology: 1995-2010’ includes ‘Emancipation’ – labelled by Prince as his “most important record” when it was released in 1996.
A new music video for ‘Black Sweat’ has also been released, watch it below.
