Premiere: Viers illustrates his dystopian dreams with 'Nothing Beats Rock'

The EP acts as the first of his new surrealist series

Budding UK artist Viers has launched a new series of electronic compilations via the label Dream Of Dystopia.

The four-track release 'A Moment In The Machine' is made to express and illustrate Viers' dreams of the post-apocalyptic, industrial, futurist and minimal. The imprint describes these fantasies as "the perfect playgrounds because they combine elements of our real world with speculative elements that so not exist in real life".

Today's premiere of 'Nothing Beats Rock' is a classic warehouse jam with an addictive techno tick that glides from a swelling undertow thump to flashing, shuffling snaps. There are breaks of downtime featuring soft bounces of sound in between the production's ringing high-pitched fractures.
