Premiere: Terrence Parker’s soulful house anthem ‘Just Like Musik’

Forthcoming on his new album via Carl Craig's Planet E imprint

Detroit deep house innovator Terrence Parker lands on Planet E with his latest album titled ‘GOD loves Detroit’, which features the soulful house anthem ‘Just Like Musik’.

With a career spanning over three decades, Terrence Parker has graced respected labels like Defected, !K7 Records and his very own Intangible Records & Soundworks. Now he’s back on fellow Detroit native Carl Craig’s Planet E with his second album for the imprint that focuses on the essence of his home city, from its past struggles to its current resurgence.

With a distinct piano melody, sultry vocals and a driving rhythm, ‘Just Like Musik’ is an instant classic. Parker touched on how the development of the track is rooted in his passion: “Inspired by Erick Sermon's use of the Marvin Gaye sample, this track really came to life once Merachka put her vocal touch on it. The message is metaphoric in music to love and love to music”.

Terrence Parker’s ‘GOD loves Detroit’ is set for release June 20.
