Premiere: Sonderr deliver acid-tinged lo-fi house with 'Rush Hour'
Launching the freshly minted Shall Not Fade sub-label Lost Palms
Australian duo Sonderr deliver the inaugural release on the Shall Not Fade sub-label Lost Palms with four tracks of moody lo-fi house, including the atmospheric and acid-tinged ‘Rush Hour’.
As a whole, the ‘Goin Home’ EP delivers a cohesive batch of ethereal music that’s complemented by subtle, yet intricate rhythm structure. There’s also a nice dose of acid involved, which heightens the overall tone and adds a gritty motif.
On the development of the new material, Sonderr reveal the emotion they aimed to convey: “The two of us grew up on opposite sides of the country. The initial foundation of the record was written approximately a year ago when Ryan had come back to Sydney after from a trip home to Perth. Each track has its own unique inspiration but the whole EP centers itself around the ideas of travel, homeliness and the monotony of everyday life.”
Sonderr’s ‘Goin Home’ EP is set for release on January 27.
