Premiere: Poté returns with percussive roller ‘Verz’

It’s is a nice thick slice of thumping house

Since launching himself into the scene with last year’s infectious ‘Katz’, Poté has shown no sign of his momentum giving way.

Born in St. Lucia and bred in London, the 23-year-old artist has already shown that he is capable of almost anything with his culture-blending, genre-defying beats, inspired by his international roots.

His new release follows 2017’s ambient and poetic ‘Fire for Fire’ EP which caught the attention of esteemed selectors Annie Mac, Toddla T and Pete Tong across BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra. Now Poté seems to be bringing in new fans by the day with his electrifying live gigs and shows on Reprezent Radio.

‘Verz’ indicates a new sonic direction for Poté and its release also celebrates the birth of his brand new Versicolor imprint. The track combines trippy drumbeat drops with layered vocals, a trademark feat of the producer, and it crescendos into solid big room house that is ready for the dancefloor.
