Premiere: Octo Octa delivers lush house with ‘Move On (Frendzone Mix)’

A blissful track to launch the Frendzone label

Brooklyn based artist Octo Octa inaugurates the Frendzone label by supplying two tracks on her joint EP with Ames Henry, including the dreamy and melodic ballad of ‘Move On (Frendzone Mix)’.

Octo Octa has been a fast rising artist as of late with releases on Argot, Running Back, %100 Silk and Love Notes From Brooklyn. Now she turns her attention to Frendzone, a party series turned record label that plans to showcase "cosmic house and techno that enters realms of acid and breaks".

With ‘Move On (Frendzone Mix)’ Octo Octa showcases her versatility, delivering euphoric melodies paired with hard hitting break-beat rhythms. It’s a track that’s been tested vigorously on dancefloors at the monthly party in Brooklyn and is one that label owner Kellam Matthews has been anxious to let loose.

The first Frendzone EP is out now on vinyl, limited to 300 pressings, purchase here.
