Matrixxman delivers the third release on Henning Baer's Manhigh Recordings with his ‘Deep Mind’ EP, featuring a relentlessly hypnotizing title track consisting of a dark dancefloor focused motif.
Berlin based by way of San Francisco, Matrixxman’s career has been steadily picking up steam over the past five years. He’s cemented his place as one of the leading figures in the global techno circuit due to quality releases on Dekmantel and Ghostly International, with his standout album ‘Homesick’ arriving on the latter imprint in 2015.
With ‘Deep Mind’ Matrixxman lets his raw and driving essence shine through, as the track builds with metallic textures, enveloping atmospherics and pumping rhythm. This is heads-down techno for long nights and early mornings caught in the dance, a distinct essence which Matrixxman has become known for.
Matrixxman’s ‘Deep Mind’ EP, which also includes two more originals and a remix from veteran German producer Goner, is set for release May 15. Purchase here
