Premiere: M.A.N.D.Y. taps Prins Thomas for a cosmic remix of ‘Planlos in Seattle’

A deep and rolling 'Diskomiks'

Get Physical label bosses M.A.N.D.Y. revisit material from their debut album ‘Double Fantasy’ to release two reworks by the duo as well as an intoxicating remix of ‘Planlos in Seattle’ by Prins Thomas.

Throughout his career Prins Thomas has been repeatedly asked to produce remixes due to his innovative approach, reimagining material from the likes of Todd Terje, The Orb, Tensnake, Radio Slave, Vermont and many more. Much of these renditions have been dubbed 'Diskomiks' due to their unique, funk-infused, cosmic sound profile. Now the Norwegian producer dons the 'Diskomiks' motif once again for the forthcoming Get Physical release.

As the original ‘Planlos in Seattle’ focuses on cosmic synths, Prins allows the various textures to stay intact while expanding on the atmospherics and driving rhythm to produce a ballad that spans longer than 13-minutes. Deep melodies are met with tones from the opposite spectrum, revealing an enveloping track with a hypnotic essence.

Also found on ‘Planlos in Seattle’ are M.A.N.D.Y.’s reworks of both the title track and ‘Outin’. Look for the release to drop June 9.
