Premiere: Khen's 'Baby Steps' lands him a striking debut on Bedrock

A slow, but heated lead tune off his EP

Khen is a newcomer that has begun making his mark on the scene under the wing of Guy J, furthering the pool of Tel Aviv-native talent breaking into the underground. After premiering his collaboration 'Prism' here on Mixmag, he's once again returned with the first listen of 'Baby Steps' off his upcoming EP.

'Baby Steps' is the title tune off his forthcoming three-track EP, which also marks a big milestone in Khen's career as his debut on the well respected Bedrock label, an imprint that served as a home to impactful releases from Alan Fitzpatrick, Guy Gerber and the like.

The aptly-titled song thus stands for much more than just the lead off his EP, also suggesting that Khen's "baby steps" might be more comparable to strides as he readies to be inducted into John Digweed's iconic imprint on February 27. 'Baby Steps' is a slow creeper, delicately teasing before bursting into a powerful explosion of dance floor-ready energy.
