Mr G has started this year as he finished the last, already full to the brim with warm, analog house music.
Hot on the heels of 2016’s ‘A Good Place…?’ album and releases on Warm Sounds, Relative, Defected and his own Phoenix G label, Colin McBean is already back with his second EP of 2017.
The ‘G’s Juiced Up’ is only the fourth release in No Idea’s Original catalogue but it slots in perfectly alongside the beefy house sounds of Huxley, Sage Caswell and Pierre Codarin.
‘Can’t Stop?’ is the first of four powerful house cuts on the EP. With a thumping bassline ebbing away under a dusty break and rhythmic vocal, the track evolves from stripped-down DJ tool to a '90s-inspired, rave weapon by the track’s end.
