Premiere: Feed your ears with B.K.R and Jamie Jones' ‘Bubble & Squeak’

It's delicious

With a back catalogue going back to 2006 and bursting with releases on heavyweights like Last Night On Earth and Kompakt, Simon Baker is a certified house and techno veteran.

Rather than rely on his name these days, he’s been pushing a darker sound under the B.K.R alias for the last two years, linking up with labels like Drumcode and Alan Fitzpatrick’s Whistle Blower.

His first material of 2017 is a forthcoming EP on Dusky’s 17 Steps featuring Hot Creations boss Jamie Jones. It’s been a long time between drinks for the duo as their first and last collaboration came in 2008 with the 'Kaskazi' 12" on Get Physical Music.

Times have changed since then and while there are still tech house elements floating around in new track ‘Bubble & Squeak’, they’ve kicked it up a notch with steaming drums, an acid-tinged bassline and swinging synth stabs.
