Police found over 300 grams of cocaine hidden in a Cookie Monster teddy

There's beak on Sesame Street

Hearing stories of celebrities dabbling in drugs is nothing new, but you wouldn't have expected it from a Sesame Street character.

Cookie Monster got himself into some bother this week when police in Florida Keys found 314 grams of cocaine stuffed inside. OK, it wasn't the actual character, but a teddy that was being carried by 39-year-old Camus McNair.

Miami Herald reports the teddy was stored inside a backpack and was found to be heavier than it should have been and had a slit cut into it. An arrest was made by Monroe County Sheriff's Deputy Orey Swilley and McNair was charged with cocaine trafficking and drug equipment possession.

Cookie Monster has not been indicted.
