Police are searching for a 25-year-old man related to acid attack in a London club

20 people were injured in the incident at Mangle E8

Police want to question a 25-year-old man, Arthur Collins, about an acid attack at London club Mangle E8 over the Easter weekend.

The Metropolitan police are appealing for anyone who knows of his whereabouts to call 999 "immediately", but warn people not to approach him. Two images, including one of him inside the club, have been shared.

Collins, from Hertfordshire, is the boyfriend of The Only Way Is Essex star Ferne McCann. A spokesman for her said: “Ferne is aware that the police wish to speak to Arthur Collins and the nature of the accusations against him. Obviously these are highly shocking and Ferne has cooperated with the police in their inquiries."

20 people are said to have suffered burns after a noxious substance was sprayed inside the east London venue in the early hours of April 17. Two people are currently in a specialist burns hospital in Essex and remain in serious but stable condition.

Detective Inspector Lee McCullough from Hackney CID said: "We now have 20 people suffering from the effects of an acidic substance being sprayed in a confined space in a busy nightclub. All have burn-related injuries. The noxious substance used has not yet been confirmed but samples retrieved from the scene have been sent for analysis. If you were there and saw anyone involved inside or leaving the nightclub, please get in touch."

The Guardian reports that a raid on a property in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire was carried out in relation to the investigation, with two people being arrested "on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis".
