Loraine James, Arca, Shygirl and more contribute to a 40-strong locked groove compilation
It’s being released by London-based label PLZ Make It Ruins
London-based label PLZ Make It Ruins today announced a whopping 40-track compilation of original loops. It was released this Friday, with all profits from the release and merch package being split between the ACLU and Liberty UK.
Each track is exactly 1.8 second long and has been created with the specific intention of being looped repeatedly.
Contributing artists include Arca, Shygirl, 100 gecs, Loraine James, Four Tet, Floating Points, PLZ Make It Ruins label head Vegyn, Blood Orange and so many more.

A locked groove is the final note on a record that forms a coherent loop of its own as the album closes. This has been used by DJs for decades to mix records seamlessly. This concept has fuelled the project.
A merch drop accompanies the compilation, and has been designed by Isha Dipika and Travis Brothers. It is available for purchase here.
