Paul Kalkbrenner recounts the history of Berlin techno with Back To The Future Tour

With intimate gatherings as the focus

Paul Kalkbrenner is bringing his Back To The Future concept on tour, showcasing his personal history with techno via a series of intimate shows.

Set to take place at various venues like London's Printworks, Amsterdam's Melkweg, E-Work in Cologne as well as festival stops at Kappa Futur and more, Kalkbrenner plans to take patrons back to the early days of techno in Berlin.

Kalkbrenner revealed what he hopes to deliver with the tour concept: “I am going to recreate the parties that I never could attend back then: from the flyers to the imagery on location to the chill-out area. That is only possible in venues that are smaller than the ones I usually perform at. My fans will experience a more intimate and exclusive live show.”

Last year Kalkbrenner unveiled his ‘Back To The Future’ mixtape series where he put together an extensive collection of over 60 tracks representing the historical rise of techno in Berlin between the years of 1987 and 1993. The tour will look to build on this concept in a live setting.
