Octave One release first album for seven years

Upcoming album from the Detroit techno duo is to be released in May

Octave One are due to be releasing a new album. 'Burn It Down' will be Lawrence and Lenny Burden's fifth full-length, and first for seven years, since 2009's 'Summer On Jupiter'. The LP is expected to be out on May 26 on the brothers' own imprint 430 West Records.

They say: "As individuals and as musicians we have grown with time and through our travels. Our music reflects that. Our work this time around has taken a lot longer to produce, but we feel it represents, more than anything else we have done to this point, our complete idea as an album project."

British singer Ann Saunderson features twice, while Afrika Pratt-Ansa and Random Noise Generation, a pseudonym for the duo and their younger brothers, also appear.

Excluding their debut EP on Derrick May's label Transmat, and a few releases on Tresor, they've managed to release music exclusively on their own label over the years.
