New York's Output wins Club Of The Year at the Electronic Music Awards

The city that never sleeps takes home the gold

Last night marked the inaugural Electronic Music Awards, dance music culture's first awards show honoring vital moving parts of the industry.

Among the nominees of artists, producers, radio show hosts and festivals was the beating heart of the underground: the club.

New York's Output took home the award for Club of The Year, winning over behemoths like London's Fabric, Berlin's Berghain and Ibiza's DC10.

The two-floor Brooklyn staple, known to many as the best club in New York, has gained notoriety for its extra strict 'No Photos' policy, dystopian design and legendary summer rooftop parties. At its core, Output holds its rite to the title with its astonishingly consistent artist bookings and monstrous, mind-bending sound system.

Other winners from last night included Sasha for Record Of The Year, Eric Prydz for DJ Of The Year and Juan Atkins as the receiver of The Inaugural Innovation Award.
