Netflix release new trailer for Kanye West's documentary Jeen-Yuhs

21-years in the making, the three-party trilogy will be out next week

Netflix has released a new trailer for the Kanye West documentary series Jeen-Yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy.

Premiered at Sundance’s virtual festival in January, act one of the three-part documentary will be shown in theatres Thursday (February 10) and will later stream on Netflix on February 16.

Directed by Chike Ozah and Clarence "Coodie" Simmons who has been filming Ye throughout the past two decades. Coodie also worked with the rapper and designer on ‘Through the Wire’ visuals and the ‘Jesus Walks’ music video.

The trailer shows archived footage of Kanye including Coodie explaining: “The goal was to see how far his dreams would take him. But I had no idea where life would take us next.”

He adds: “But there was more to Kanye’s story that I needed to tell.”

The documentary will be a "three-week event" via Netflix and present a "never-seen-before" side to the life of the hip hop artist.

In late January, Kanye asked for a “final edit and approval” just days before its premiere.
