New techno club Blitz to open in Munich museum

Zenker Brothers, Skee Mask and Stenny are residents

A new techno club called Blitz is set to open in Munich's biggest museum, the Deutsches Museum’s Forum des Techniks, on April 22.

It will hold a capacity of 600 people across two rooms, and be powered by a custom-built VOID soundsystem, with a carefully designed interior to enhance the acoustics. A restaurant branded by pioneer Trevor Jackson will also be situated next door.

The venue is an undertaking from the people behind the Kong and Bob Beaman clubs in Munich, and plans to expand it into a label in the future are in place.

Founder and resident DJ Dave Muallem told Groove the aim is to make Blitz “a place of inclusion in a city where nightlife is mostly about exclusivity.”

Further resident DJs include Ilian Tape honchos the Zenker Brothers and label signees Skee Mask and Stenny.
