New study finds that just 22% of DJs booked in Ibiza are female or non-binary

The report looks at recent Ibiza line-ups spanning Pacha, Hï, Club Chinois and more

A new study has found that just 22% of all artists booked to perform in Ibiza in recent months are female or non-binary.

The report, put together by Clubbing TV’s Laureline Teste, found that men made up some 78% of all line-ups booked on the White Isle over the past five months.

The Ibiza 2025 report took data from “every announced line-up from Ibiza clubs, using both official Instagram posts and Ibiza Spotlight listings”, manually reviewing each bill.

Of the 980 acts booked – not including duplicate bookings – just 214 were found to be women or gender fluid artists, compared to 766 men.

The study looked at club bookings spanning Pacha, Hï, Amnesia, Club Chinois, Ushuaïa, and more, and reported the lowest number of female or non-binary bookings at Marco Carola’s Pacha event – with 90.3% of all artists booked being male.

Elsewhere, the report found that The Martinez Brothers’ event at Hï, Bedouin’s event at Club Chinois, and Mëstiza’s event at Hï each had less than 15% representation of female or non-binary bookings across their line-ups.

Many of the women and non-binary DJs booked to play in Ibiza often perform earlier slots on the line-up or play in smaller club rooms, the report also found.

Speaking to Resident Advisor, Teste explained: “The ecosystem still operates like an exclusive boys' club. You see the same male residents inviting each other season after season, reinforcing the same networks.

“Meanwhile, there's an entire generation of talented women and non-binary artists often sidelined or slotted into opening sets or side rooms.“

The report found that, of the 28 line-ups reviewed across 2025, those with the largest number of female or non-binary bookings include Defected at Pacha (28%), Pyramid at Amnesia, and Francis Mercier presents Solèy at Club Chinois (28.6%).
