A new festival celebrating the end of lockdown will start at 00:01AM
The festival, called 00:01, will take place on July 19 at two venues
A new festival celebrating the end of lockdown restrictions in England has been announced.
The festival, named 00:01, will begin at that time on July 19, coinciding with plans from the government to lift social distancing restrictions and re-open.
Oval Space and the Pickle Factory are the two venues hosting the festival, which will end at 5:01AM and 4:01AM in the respective venues.

Oval Space will host Talk Show, Flamingods and L.E.D with a DJ set from Betamax. While Pickle Factory will host Grove, Duress, Fake Turins, DJ Peggy and Lynks.
Rob Broadbent and Max Wheeler spoke of their excitement in a press release, saying:
“This is the first time in the history of, well everything (?) that live music in a venue has been taken away from us – and as live music fans first and foremost we wanted to see the occasion back in properly with a BIG night and a load of killer bands that are going to smash it up.”

The event comes after lockdown was postponed from June 21 to July 19 due to fears concerning the Delta variant. Many have criticised the government for postponing lockdown due to the threat that this poses to nightlife.
