​Awakenings reveals full line-up for new festival, Awakenings Upclose

The line-up features Donato Dozzy, FJAAK, Overmono, Marlon Hoffstadt, 999999999 and more

Awakenings has announced the line-up for the first edition of Awakenings Upclose, a brand-new festival which will take place in the Netherlands this summer.

The two-day event is to take place in Houtrak (Spaarnwoude-park) May 18 and 19, and is described on Awakening's official website as “an ode to the dancefloor,” and a “deliberate shift from the massive to the personal,” placing emphasis on “dancefloor culture” over “DJ-focussed setting[s]”.

Consisting of a heady combination of techno heavyweights, underground favourites, 16 b2b and more than 25 debuts — the line-up Awakenings Upclose Is said to take a "more progressive approach," venturing beyond the established techno spectrum.

Boasting several previously unseen b2b’s, the festival will see the likes of Colin Benders x Speedy J, ROD x Stranger, Gigi FM x Kanding Ray, Perc x Wallis (live) and Amoral x Beste Hira sharing the stage for the very first time live.

The festival will also see some “hypnotic driving energetic techno” by Dutch DJ and producer Joris Voorn, as well as champions of hard techno, 999999999, Rebekah, AnD, I Hate Models and Azyr.

This year, Marlon Hoffstadt, Funk Assault, Polar Inertia (live), Azyr and Marie Montexier are among 25 artists playing for the first time with Awakenings.

Tickets go on sale January 25 at 15:00 GMT via Awakenings
