Nervous Records celebrates 25 years as a leading independent label
The 'Nervous 25 Years' release will feature the label's most iconic tracks
As one of the most unmistakable imprints to come out of New York, Nervous Records has established itself as a leading trendsetter in an ever evolving industry. Now, after delivering cutting edge material for the past 25 years, it’s time to recognize the significant impact the label has had on the progression of dance music.
Celebrating 25 years in the music industry is an outstanding achievement, especially for an independent label like Nervous Records. Its logo featuring a cartoon DJ with a record going through his head is synonymous with DJ culture and legends like Frankie Knuckles, Kerri Chandler, Josh Wink, Armand Van Helden, Masters At Work and countless others have all appeared beside it.
To carry on the tradition of showcasing current and raw dancefloor-focused tracks, Nervous is still pumping out quality, releasing music by Harry Romero, youANDme, Louie Vega and more, plus a soulful house compilation from Hector Romero forthcoming.
Coinciding with this year’s celebration, in October there will be a special limited edition double pack vinyl release entitled 'Nervous 25 Years' that includes eight of the most favored house releases from the early 90s.
This Thursday, September 29, Mixmag will have Nervous artists Supernova in The Lab NYC, which you can view via the live stream.
After The Lab NYC session, the Italian duo will take to Cielo for their headlining slot, find tickets here.
